Also, if you do not know how to use a Microfiche reader and printer the staff can help you.
When it comes to the archives research area you don’t need to book a table or space. The archives are kept in their original groups. You can find court records, deposited documents, district and borough council records, enclosure awards, maps and plans, non-conformist records, Nottingham city council records, Nottinghamshire county council records, ordnance survey maps, parish council records, parish records, prints and illustrations, probate records, school records, semi-official records, Southwell Chapter records, Southwell Diocesan records and tithe awards. The office provides catalogues to identify documents and indexes to find people, places and subjects.
Nottinghamshire public records office has seven computers available for public use. Five of those computers must be booked using their online NetLoan system.
